These Terms are used for fun, in times of stress, for emphasis on the moment and as Communication Tools
The following 3 terms are courtesy of our daughter Kim. She’s either very Smart or a Smarty Pants. Actually both apply! Love you Kim!
Just Poke My Eyes Out: For those times when we want to run away, give it up, the stress is overwhelming or we just think it’s fun to say.
Not My Monkey: For those times when you have taken control of something that you have no control over, you can’t think of any other way to say no, or a fun way to say, That’s Not My Responsibility.
IDK: For those times we’ve already said I Don’t Know twenty times today.
Cottonheadednineymuggens: This is a term used by my sister (Kate) and I when we go on our annual Christmas shopping trip to Branson each year. I either call myself this or call her a cottonhea…… This happens only after we become totally silly, which usually takes 30 minutes. This term is courtesy of Buddy the Elf from Elf the movie.
My Kids Love These Next Two! Well, Now They Do, I Think?
You Can’t Ride That Horse Forever: When you’re old enough to…Just not use the same old excuse any longer! There comes a time when you should not blame someone, or a situation, for the way you act…or the choices you make.
You Are Who You Hang Around With: It’s hard not to conform to the atmosphere, or the people, around you.
We actually have no copyright on these terms. I invite you to at least use Just Poke My Eyes Out, one time, and then tell me it doesn’t make you feel better!
