Psalm 103:1-5 ~ Let Me Not Forget

I praise you Father, with all my inmost being.  I praise your Holy Name.  I will forget not all your benefits.  You have forgiven all my sins and have healed all my diseases.  You have redeemed my life from my pit and crowned me with love and compassion.  You satisfy my desires with good things, so that my youth is renewed like the eagle.

Our lives are going to become very busy, and it is a time when we are certainly going to become more mobile.  There will be Grand-babes running in and out for the summer.  We will be coming and going~here and there.  I ask for your wisdom and guidance, and stamina as we play and mentor our Grand-babes this summer.  Give us an extra measure of protection through the golf camps, water fun at the lake, and fun in the sunshine.  I ask for protection for Ed and I as we do some extra, much-needed, time away together.  Thank you for these times we are able to just get away to experience places we have not been,  and the ministry opportunity to go and lend a helping hand and heart.

Help me to relax and to not worry, within the busyness of summertime ~ especially with the small nothings that can wait.  Let Me Not Forget You, within the busyness of summertime.

Be with our Children and Grand-babes as they come and go this summer.  Keep them safe and healthy.  I pray for their daily needs.  Give them their daily bread, Father.

We are so thankful for life, your compassion, and your graciousness toward us.  We thank you for your abounding love for us.  We thank you for your Word, that so beautifully describes your love and grace for us.

Psalm 103:17 ~ Everlasting 

Father, thankyou for your everlasting love!  Hold my family up, keep us safe, keep our eyes open to the needs around us wherever we are this summer, and Let Us Not Forget You ~ In the busyness of summertime!

Father, I Need Your Help With This One

As I am bathe-ing your Word in prayer, Father, I feel  uneasy.  Not because I cannot understand, but because I really feel inadequate.  I know that means that I am looking to myself and not to you for the courage and wisdom to take the next step as Your Daughter.  Or, perhaps, this is the way you want me~totally dependent upon you.  Yes, that’s it!  And while we’re talking, I might as well come clean.  I am hesitant to ask you to reveal my dirty rotten sins, sinful natures, and to ask you to specifically rid me of those issues and things in my life that I know should be cleansed from me.  I never wish to love my sins more than I do you.

You know what has prompted me ask for purification.  It’s your Word~Come, follow Me and I will make you fishers of men!  You have been so direct in showing the order of importance of your Scriptures, pertaining to our beautiful Asian Scrolls and My King ~ His Daughter study.  I know that you are whispering to me, as I bathe these Scriptures in prayer.  Thank you so very much for this.  To some, it might be a simple and unimportant direction, but for me it has been timely and much appreciated wisdom from you.

I pray, Father, that you would be gentle with me.  I ask that you would give me fragments of that which I need to see and confront, as I do not wish to become confused or overwhelmed.  Show me, with your wisdom and guidance attached, each area of my heart that needs cleansed, those things within my character that need to be transformed and that which I should leave behind, in my life.  All this I ask, Father, so that I may be free to follow you and become a fisher of men. Give me your wisdom to understand what it means to follow you.  Do not allow me to be a wishy washy follower and do not allow me to be caught up in that which is of this world, and therefore meaningless in Your Grand Plan.  Do not allow me to be tempted by my natural self.  Help me to turn all myself and desires over to you, even that which I might feel is innocent.

The longer I live, the more I am aware of the fact that following Christ is not the easy road to travel.  No matter how much I, or anyone else tries to candy coat it, I know that Christ Himself has said to consider the cost of following and becoming fishers of men (Luke 14:25-35 & Luke 9:57-62).  I know that at one point many of Christ’s disciples deserted Him because they felt His teaching was too hard (John 6:60-70).

Help me, Father, to count, understand, and freely accept with joy the cost of following Christ.  Help me, Father, to persevere with joy as I learn from The Teacher to be a fisher of men.

Thank you Father for this time in my life.  Thank you for the revelation of Your Word, in my heart and the hearts of my family.  May I be an ever-living testimony to you Father, through Jesus Christ!

Father, I Will Dwell In Your Shelter

I am so thankful today for Your Word, to me.  As I bathe Psalms 91 in prayer, I feel your ever-present protection over me.  I trust you to keep me safe, for the security of my soul and my life.  I will praise you for your Most High Shelter.  I rest in the shadow of your Almighty presence.  I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday (Ps 91:5-6). I will seek to make You my dwelling and my refuge.  I will call upon you moment by moment, anticipating your answers, wisdom and guidance. I will call upon you to help me to be your ever-present Daughter, in obedience to your will for my life.  I yield my will to you, awaiting divine instruction.

Thank you so much Father for the blessings of these first few days of the new year! We are so grateful for the new and exciting beginning you have given to us!

We come to You offering teachable spirits.  We are anticipating a refreshing and relaxing peace and calm in your healing presence, for both body and soul.  We declare our trust in Jesus Christ, our Savior.  We vow together to live through total dependence upon You and your will for us.  We walk by faith and not by sight, for you have been so faithful to us.

We Love you Father, and we hear you calling.  Your presence creates peace and positive expection within us.  For this we are grateful and we anticipate with open hearts the path you are setting before us.

…all of my experiences, all of my struggles, all of my gifts and talents and all of my passions ~ because you are the one who has given them so unconditionally and lovingly to me.  They are yours to choose how to assemble into something suitable for your glory.  Help me to listen and be sensitive to your whispers in this season of my life.  Keep my spirit connected to yours.  Incline my heart daily, toward Your Grace.  I love you Lord!
